Re: Technicolor 895gn router firmware update required

Poll removed as it is superfluous
Please check the router type as that isn't one I recognise as being supplied by Plusnet

Re: Technicolor 895gn router firmware update required

From looking at your account you appear to be using a TG582n?
I'll need to have a word with one of the other guys on how to do this for you but I'll update this thread when I know more.

Re: Technicolor TG582n router firmware update required

We can get that done however your connection will be down for about 10 minutes while we do it?
Can you let us know which time is best and then we'll get it arranged

@stuntlyd4
Your upload speed being slow is actually because its capped.
I've placed a order to uncap it which will complete tomorrow and should increase that for you.

Re: Technicolor TG582n router firmware update required

Hi, I'm intrigued by this thread. What does the latest firmware update contain... just vulnerability/stability fixes or new functionality ?
I'm looking for a way of applying time-based access restrictions, ideally on a per-device basis.

Hi Topov81,
Welcome to the forums.
I cannot give you chapter and verse on 10.2.2.B features, but the headlines are improved xDSL stability (I'm on 248 days) and (as you've mentioned it) hour by hour access restrictions per device.
I'm sure there are other things too.  Wink

Re: Technicolor TG582n router firmware update required

Thanks for the reply Townman.  Should I look into updating the firmware myself or would you recommend PlusNet doing it remotely (the earlier posts suggest this is possible) ?
My only concern is knowing exactly which one to use. I currently have 8.4.4.J which according to the page below is the latest for my TG582n router, unless of course I can use the TG582n-PS firmware.

Does your 582n have a USB port?
