Technicolor TG582n gateway problem

I have a weird problem. My router is showing no internet connection as it cannot connect to the gateway (195.196.130.252) which when checked with Whois the ip seems to be assigned to a company in Sweden. However here is the weird bit the internet is working perfectly fine from every device connected by either cable or WiFi.

i have reset the router but still get the same issue with the same IP address. How do I fix this issue.

Thanks

Mark

Re: Technicolor TG582n gateway problem

That IP belongs to our network and it's not responsive to ICMP which is why the router check fails. It's nothing to worry about.

Ok but what’s the point of the router check if it always fails like that? How can the consumer know what’s wrong  if there is a genuine fault?

Re: Technicolor TG582n gateway problem

When we shipped the Technicolors, our network was configured differently so this problem never presented itself.
The feature is one of the vendor's, not ours, and we're no longer actively developing the device so is unlikely we'll be removing it any time soon.
Apologies for any confusion it's caused.
