Technicolor TG582n - Sky On Demand Fail

Hi there
1st post on here as I cannot find an answer to this anywhere....
Recently had PlusNet Fibre installed and the above mentioned TG582n router, now my Sky box can see the router but that is all, it cannot get past it so keeps giving a On Demand Fail...
It had always worked with my previous router without a problem.
to be fair to the router the PS3 can see it and get past it onto web and so can the Apple products and the computer, it is just the Sky box that cant get past it.
The Sky box has it own IP address so like I say it can see my network..
Anyway has any one experienced this issue?

sky on demand works fine for me with the TG582n (ADSL version).
no extra config was required to make it work.
when you say the sky box has its own IP address, do you mean you've give it a static IP or does it have a DHCP assigned address?

It has a DHCP assigned IP address, interesting that it works on your TG582n ADSL router...maybe its a fibre issue

doubt it's a fibre issue.
the sky box just needs to be able to get to the internet, doesn't matter if it's DSL, fiber or dial-up!
is the sky box wifi or ethernet connected?

Wifi and I have just tried the Ethernet cable but it made no difference at all

What IP address, gateway and DNS settings are shown on the Sky box?  You definitely haven't manually set any of these?

these are the details off the Home Network section off the router
its definitely the Sky Box as the IPs match (192.168.1.64)

The 'IP Address Assignment' showing as 'Static' suggests you've manually configured the Sky box and it's not using DHCP.
Same question: What IP address, gateway and DNS settings are shown on the Sky box (not the router)?  You definitely haven't manually set any of these?

Nope definitely not manually set the IP on the Sky Box - not sure how I find the DNS and Gateway settings on the Sky Box - any ideas on that one?
In the Network settings on the Sky box it says

Connection to Broadband Router - OK
Connection to On Demand - Fail
IP Address - 192.168.1.64
DHCP - On
Network name - My Network
Signal Strength - a bar representing good strength
Security Type - WAP2-PSK

Puzzled...
If you turn off your Sky box (or just turn of the wifi on it if that's possible), do you still get a response from pinging 192.168.1.64?  Have you got any kit made by AirTies on your LAN?  Does the Sky box get a different address if you us a cable?
[Edit - It seems the Sky Wireless Connector is made by AirTies]
Silly question - You have turn 'On Demand Downloads' on?

i will try a ping with the cable instead of wireless..
The on demand worked no problem up until last week when the Fibre and new router was installed...

I also have this problem with sky on-demand, PN fibre and the TG582n.  The connection to the network is fine, but it says on-demand=fail. I've tried changing settings..   I guess this is a problem with the firewall or settings that are locked?

Ok, seen this on another thread.  The solution is just resetting/powering off the sky box.  Seems fine now.

When you are the Network Page of the Sky box hit the red reset button and your Sky Box will request a new IP number. The Sky box doesn't seem to release the IP number from your previous router.
