Technicolor TG582n Repeater help..

Hi,
I was hoping someone would be able to help.
I have a TG582n as my main router in the house, and I have a spare Netgear WGR614 knocking around.
My signal upstairs isn't the best, so I was hoping to boost my signal by using the Netgear.
Is this this possible with the hardware I have? And could someone point in the right direction of the steps that I need to follow?
Many thanks,
Mitch

Re: Technicolor TG582n Repeater help..

Hi Mitch,
I do not think that you can do this quite as you hope, because the TG582n does not support WDS.
If you could get an Ethernet cable run between the devices, you could configure a second AP.  Alternative to a cable you could connect the two devices using a pair of home plugs.
From what I understand wifi repeating halves the throughput of the wifi, home plugs are much faster.
