Target SNR reset [Fixed]

After months of stable connection at just above 2Mbps with a target SNR of 6dB, it appears that the target has been increased to 9dB and I can only get 1.5Mbps.
Please can someone at Plusnet reset my connection back to 6dB?

Re: Target SNR reset

I was in the same shoe, as my connection used to be at 15323K at 3db (IP Profile 13000K) and now it change to 9727K (IP Profile 8000K) with 15db. What is going on plusnet ? ADSL2+ is better on low SNR to get the highest sync.
The problem could be this caused from here: http://status.aa.net.uk/apost.cgi?incident=1149

Re: Target SNR reset

The problem has got nothing to do with Plusnet, it's BT's DLM that is the culprit. Also, I've got a long line so not on ADSL2+ as it doesn't offer any benefit in terms of connection speed and by all reports I've read the DLM equivalent on ADSL2+ is even more shaky.
Fibre is due December 2011, and they're in the process of digging up the pavement near to my local cabinet. This has possibly affected the noise levels on my connection, and may be the cause of the increase in target SNR.
I thought Plusnet staff had a shiny button to get target snr reset, so if anyone there spots this thread I would be appreciate it if they could press it.

Re: Target SNR reset

I knew it, it was at the DLM exchange that kept disconnected me every single day to drop 1 Meg each day, it rather annoying, I never had any single problem when I was on ADSL1 staying stable at 8128K before ADSL2+ was the worst I ever had in my own experience. My mum line was also affected too as she is the same exchange as me, her sync kept dropping same as mine too.
Plusnet please sort out BT on ADSL2+ 21CN DLM at my exchange!

Re: Target SNR reset

I had posted both tickets to raise fault team to reset SNR on my line please. 15db on ADSL2+ is too high, I want it down to 6db or 3db please.

Re: Target SNR reset

@goldenadsl,
With all due respect, if you have already raised two tickets for your problem please don't hijack this thread. Whilst I appreciate your empathy with my problem, yours is a different issue as you're on ADSL2+. I don't imagine PN staff will prioritise your problem as you have a perfectly usable connection of over 8M, whereas I am currently struggling to reach a minimum spec of 2M.
Plusnet staff - any response would be appreciated, even if all you can tell me is to wait and hope.

Re: Target SNR reset

No I disagree. I don't accepting ADSL2+ as 8 Meg or below, it should be more than that for my downstream attenuation of 33.0db (should be around 13-14 meg if the snr set at 3db. I do feel sorry for you too but I am not hjack post here.

Re: Target SNR reset

I wasn't suggesting that you should accept a connection speed of sub 8Meg on an ADSL2+ connection, merely trying to politely say that your further responses are potentially distracting for any Plusnet staff who might read the thread and be able to help me.
You are hijacking my post to promote your own issue, and I would appreciate it if you could refrain from any further responses unless you have anything to add that might help.

Re: Target SNR reset

@goldenadsl You have your own thread here http://community.plus.net/forum/index.php/topic,98402. Might be a good idea to keep an eye on that one instead Smiley

Re: Target SNR reset

Hopefully he will concentrate on his own issue...in his own thread now and maybe you both can achieve solutions.

Re: Target SNR reset

I've decided to go down the official support route and raised a question via the 'Help and Support' page (Question  #46262911).
I notice that Adam Walker responded to a similar request recently
