TP-Link TD-W9980

I am considering buying a TP-Link TD-W9980 modem router to replace the Plusnet Sagem 2704N which is useless at port forwarding.
Has anyone got any experience with this TP-Link device?
Also has it got slots on the back enabling it to be wall mounted?
Thanks,
Geoff

It can be wall mounted, yes.
I haven't tried port forwarding on it, though.

Thanks Jaggies, they don't appear to tell you useful things like that in the spec.
I assume you own one?  If so, have you had any problems with it?

I stopped using it when the G.INP issue raised its head, as the firmware didn't support it at the time. If you're planning on using it for ADSL rather than VDSL that should not be an issue.
On the whole I was pleased with the performance.

I've got one on fibre (the new beta f/w fixed the G.INP issue).
Port forwarding is simple to setup, just make sure it is enabled when setup as there is an option to disable it as well.

Re: TP-Link TD-W9980

Some TP-Links do not have the ability to drop the PPP Internet session. I have no idea if that applies this this one.
If you visit their website you can download a manual. They also have an emulator on the site you could play with.
I've noted some users say their support is poor.

Re: TP-Link TD-W9980

This one does, you can drop the ppp keeping the vdsl up.
