TP Link AX11000 Constantly Losing Internet Connection

Ok, recently moved to PlusNet from Sky and have FTTC (can’t get FTTP in my current house).

Have TP Link AX11000 router I want to use so put the Hub2 in bridge mode, connect my router (Lab port 1 in hub, WAN on Ax11000) set up with correct user name and password for PPPoE and router shows as connected to internet, however download speed drops to less than 5meg, upload less then 1meg and after a 10 minutes or so connection to internet is totally lost.

Turn of my router, factory reset the Hub2 to take out of bridge mode and go back to using it again and connection is stable. However download speed or upload doesn’t go back to pre using own router levels. Is as something on the line doesn’t like my own router and so how’s into a kind of defensive mode and puts a limit on my bandwidth.

Having said that, upload speed has been terrible constantly since joining plus net, nearly always less than 1MB and makes working from home on shared files practically impossible. so not sure if it’s a separate issue on the line entirely.

Not sure if anybody has had any similar issues when using their own router?

Fix

@Rowey   Welcome to the forum.

It’s possible that a fault has developed coincidentally with your swapping of routers. Put the hub 2 back and report a fault. See https://www.plus.net/help/report-a-problem/

The line won't be aware of your router. The synchronisation and line parameters are still handled by the Hub 2, even when in bridge mode. All your router is doing is making the PPPoE connection.

Thanks. Diagnostics run in the line and it has flagged a fault. Just waiting on an engineer appointment.
