Re: TG585 v8 firmware upgrade failed

The router stopped working so I rang up and a replacement is on its way. If its not on the new firmware when I get it, I will reflash the new one when it comes and see how that goes. I will let you know here.

Re: TG585 v8 firmware upgrade failed

Are they sending you another TG585v8 or a TG582n (ADSL2) - the current offering?

Re: TG585 v8 firmware upgrade failed

Got new router today, I tried the 10.2.0.B firmware without realising it was ADSL firmware, but I added the ewan port myself so I now have this: http://i1333.photobucket.com/albums/w639/lotrjw/routerscreenshots19-09-201323-28_zpsc5984691.png result!
I can now use both interfaces ADSL and ewan PPPoE! and it tried them both at the same time! lol if only I had two lines to check it with! I wonder if plusnet would like be to test that! I would need a second phone line though and I couldnt afford that myself!

Re: TG585 v8 firmware upgrade failed

glad you've got that working, a tweak has been made to the firmware so both PPPoA and PPPoE connections will work.
Not sure about the free line, good try though Smiley

Re: TG585 v8 firmware upgrade failed

Shame about no free second phone line for testing, but at least I now have a working router (and a working wifi on my w8 phone! but that was solved by something else not the new router!)
