TG582n router

Have just switched over from Madasafish to Plusnet and am connected as expected via existing Netgear DG834GT router, syncing at 5248kbps. This is only possible on my 20CN long rural line by manipulating the SNR margin via telnet to access the CLI. So, is it possible to do the same thing with the supplied TG582n router and if so, can anyone please point me in the right direction as to how?

Re: TG582n router

You don't actually need to change routers unless you need to. (The old one failing etc)

Re: TG582n router

Yes, you are quite right of course but the Netgear router is not  an N class device whilst the TG582n is. That would be the advantage.

Re: TG582n router

As far as I'm aware you can't tweak target noise margin ratio with the TG582n.

Re: TG582n router

Ah! That is a shame, looks like I wasted £5.99 on delivery of a router I will not be able to make use of.
