TG582n router - Need for factory reset?

Is it true that the TG582n routers (for ADSL) can, because or connection errors, get into s state where they won't work properly until a restore to factory defaults is done?

Re: TG582n router - Need for factory reset?

It sounds very unlikely, but of course there's a small chance that it's possible. It would imply there's some kind of firmware bug that, under certain conditions, corrupts the settings or somehow causes the settings to end up incorrect.

Thank you. I was wondering about the wisdom of backing up and then restoring the settings, as I have many alterations!
