TG582n device list

I manage the computer equipment at a community centre.
When I log into the TG582N router, I can view a list of all the connected devices with their IP addresses, and also other devices which have been connected in the past.
However, the ethernet connected printers which have fixed IPs are not in the list.
Can anyone explain why?

Most routers tend to only list devices to which they have allocated an IP using DHCP. Instead of allocating static IP's on the printers it's possible to get the TG582n to always allocate the same IP to a device, and then set the device to use DHCP. Getting it to allocate the same IPs as you currently have for the statics may be a bit tricky though, so doing it this way would probably involve reconfiguring PC's for the new printer IP's
