My TG582n has been sitting there next to the mastersocket, doing its thing with little or no problems for a while, however recently its started to play up, dropping wifi and ethernet, sometimes with the lights flashing as usual, and sometimes with them all constantly on or off.
After a while it starts to work again as if nothing has happened
However lately its felt a little warmer than usual and has started to emit a strange feint smell of TCP Antiseptic liquid (??)
Any ideas if this can be fixed with a firmware flash of some sort?

Might be better to think about a new router.

I don't think any firmware update will make it smell nicer ;).
However as you've just agreed to a new deal I'll get you a new router dispatched, should be with you in the next 3-5 working days.

Chris, when I renewed my contract earlier this month and asked if it would be possible to have a new router, I was told 'sorry, no'. I was kinda shocked.
If PN was to send one, would there be any charges and what kind of router would it be? - bearing in mind I'm on ADSL, not fibre.
Thanks.
