TG582n Firmware

Hi,
Please can a member of the support team advise if they are able to push the new firmware 10.2.5.2 to my TG582n Router? If so could you please respond and I will connect the router up.
Thanks,

Re: TG582n Firmware

Hi Wizkid,
I can, however your device doesn't seem to be registered with our TR-069 server. We delete devices that don't connect for more than 3 months.
If you hook it up, it will register, once it's done that I can push the firmware update (let me know once you've got it connected).
Thanks,
Matt

Re: TG582n Firmware

Ok, that's done.
I'd give it 10/15 minutes to update. Then you'll need to perform a factory reset to apply all of the changes/settings - a minor inconvenience that should be fixed soon!
Let me know if the firmware updated successfully. You should see a new dashboard page after the factory reset if everything goes correctly.
Thanks,
Matt

Re: TG582n Firmware

HI Damian,
Done. You're on ADSL so I've sent you the ADSL version, 10.2.2.B.
Should be installed within 10 minutes.

Re: TG582n Firmware

Rather than starting a new thread can you advise on the following
According to http://community.plus.net/library/hardware/how-to-upgradedowngrade-the-firmware-on-the-thomson-585v7... there is a different firmware for Windows 7 but according to this http://products.plus-payh.co.uk/firmware/ there is only one - is this the one which should be used in future and, if so, should the library article be upgraded
According to the library article a factory reset isn't required and I haven't seen that requirement before

Re: TG582n Firmware

Hi Jim, A restart is only required with the remote firmware upgrates to version 10.2.5.2 specifically.
I'm not sure about the local firmware upgrade tools... I'll take a look and ask around.

Hi Damien,
No, I'm afraid not.
The only version we have are as per http://products.plus-payh.co.uk/firmware/
Plusnet - ADSL - TG582n (with USB port) - 8.4.4.J
Plusnet - ADSL - TG582n-PS (without USB port) - 8.4.4.J
Plusnet - ADSL - TG582n-PS (without USB port) - 10.2.2.B
Plusnet - FTTC - TG582n (with USB port) - 8.C.M.0
Plusnet - FTTC - TG582n (with USB port) - 10.2.5.2
However, you can use the FTTC 10.2.5.2 on ADSL if your willing to log into the router, and use the setup tool and switch to ADSL.

As long as its straight forward then yes, I can use that firmware.
Can you overide the firmware just sent? I'm in work at the moment so won't be able to get to the router till 4pm

Re: TG582n Firmware

Okies.
I have the 10.2.2.B firmware now but could the correct USB enabled firmware be sent?
Also, are they still at Beta stage as the logon screens still say Demo Premium?Huh

Currently on software 8.C.M.0
Any chance of an update?
If someone could push that through I'd appreciate it
Thanks
