Does anyone know how I can disable the telnet service and enable SSH for CLI access on the TG582n router supplied by plusnet?

There's no SSH server but you can enable remote access to the telnet server it that helps.
You can also specify the remote IP address which is allowed access.

Many thanks for that. I'll test it later.
