I have checked through the manual/user guide nothing stands out as to what is causing the error events.
I have looked using google for the means/cause of the issues but have not got very far. Not even TP-Link would give me the reason.
If it is a wet weekend I might spend some more time looking at this.

Hi People, tried to work from home today and using my old Netgear Router (which i have connected for a few weeks now) i had loads of problems, I was using a VPN into the office and both services via the VPN and directly on the Net were pretty much unusable.
Can someone give me a sensible view on what was going on today, I used two different PCs, one wireless, one wired, I rebooted the Router and it pretty much was useless irrespective of the configuration at my end, I even considered going back to the TD-W8961 but lost patience before that point. I am now considering switching to another supplier for my service.

I'm really surprised that no-one from Plusnet has commented today, but they may well think you are still using the TP-link unless they've read the thread. If you can post some modem/router stats & say what package you are on, which model Netgear and firmware version it is, somebody who is more familiar with the Netgear may be able to offer some advice.

Hi Jojo,
The TP-Linik ADSL routers allows for manual setting ffor MTU and MSS. Defaults being MTU 1480 and MSS 1400.
Does PN have any recommendations for these values? (I am aware of how to test MTU seeting)
The reason I ask is I noticed Gary has set his MTU to 1400 on his TP-Link device.

The standard setting for MTU is 1500
