I know it is difficult. He human eye can spot spam in an instant but to write a computer program to do it seems to be an impossible task.

I strongly recommend you use 'MailWasher Pro' by Firetrust. Its learning algorithms are very good and it sorts my mail out on the server extremely quickly. The paid for Pro version is much superior to the free version, as with most software.

I now get more good mail tagged as spam than spam getting into my inbox.

There's also the potential for the training to have been skewed for none Postini trialists.
You can find out if you're on Postini by running a DIG on your domain name here.
Fill out the form as follows replacing username.plus.com with the bit after the '@' sign in your email address -
After clicking 'Perform Query' you'll see something like the following if you're on the Postini platform -

username.plus.com. 86400 IN MX 20 mx-postini.last.plus.net.
username.plus.com. 86400 IN MX 10 mx-postini.core.plus.net.

How many will there be tomorrow?
I normally get 300 a day and I thought none was being stopped.
So it seems the spam filter is doing something. (which is a question I asked weeks ago).
I've just been back and switched it on again.
I had about 600 spams this morning, half of which were marked as [SPAM].
I haven't had a chance to scrutinise them yet to see if they're genuine or not.
