Switching from TalkTalk to Plusnet in a few days, Advice needed

My local exchange is this:
https://www.samknows.com/broadband/exchange/CMSTE
PlusNet is keeping my existing talktalk number. Talktalk said MAC code is not required.
PlusNet said to me no engineer will come to my house or to my local exchange when the switch happens. When the switch happens wont there be any hardware changes in my local exchange meaning a plusnet engineer has to come to my local exchange?

The changes at the exchange will be carried out by an Openreach Engineer - Plusnet do not do anything in the exchange - but it won't involve a visit to your house as they only move you from TalkTalk  equipment to BT Equipment

Ok so you saying a engineer will have to come to my local exchange to make the switch possible?
Then why plusnet telling me on online chat that no engineer will come to my house/exchange whatsoever?

Well I have an idea, very simply, they are wrong Roll_eyes
If you were not switching from an LLU provider, then an Openreach engineer wouldn't need to alter any jumpers at the exchange. In the case of switching between providers that resell BT Wholesale products, the equipment is the same and the "switch" is a remote software configuration job done by BT Wholesale. In your case there's a need to move from TalkTalk's equipment to BT Wholesale's.
