Switch from metronet to plusnet not going well...

I've noticed some past threads about people switching from Metronet to Plusnet saying how smooth the transition was - this hasn't been my experience so far...
I requested the changeover about 2 weeks ago and lost my Metronet connection on Saturday (I suspect I would have lost it earlier but hadn't disconnected my router for several days), but still no Plusnet service, so I've been without a connection since then. Seems like they're having a bit of trouble setting up a direct debit, but my bank shows two active direct debits already in place (for a week now).
Can any of the support team look into this for me? I'm starting to get serious internet withdrawal symptoms. (I know, two days isn't that much, but I'm feeling particularly crappy today with a cold and I wanted to work from home!) Undecided
Thanks in advance!

Hi Martin,
It's basically down to the activation of your direct debit.  Let me see if I can get Finance to check this to see if we're seeing it active at this end.
I'm sorry about the downtime.

Thanks James. As I said in my last comment on the ticket I'll gladly pay by card if that will help me get back online.

Thanks Martin.
The Direct Debit isn't showing as active at our end yet, although that may happen later today.
I'll be happy to take a payment by card if your details on your account are upto date?

I haven't added card details yet but I'll go in and do that now.

I've now added a visa card via the member centre - is this OK?
