Unlikely to be the second, but the first states -

Re: Suddenly getting relay.pcl-ipout01.plus.net errors!

Slight update - happening when sending from two different PlusNet accounts, but each time the message appears to be getting delivered as Read Receipts are being returned.
Also, seems to be both relay.pcl-ipout01.plus.net and relay.ptn-ipout02.plus.net

@Username, can you PM or email me with the full unsanitised headers and content of this bounce please? Receiving some contacts to the CSC about this so I do suspect there's an issue somewhere.

Thanks, we've a problem raised to address this (ref:54880). My initial suspicion is that it's in some way related to this.

Re: Suddenly getting relay.pcl-ipout01.plus.net errors!

Just to say I'm getting this too - been having it since some time this morning. I have two outgoing email addresses I use - personal and work, both sent via plus.net. The business one goes fine (I assume - they've not been bouncing back) but the personal address consistently gets bounced back with almost the same wording as the original poster - except mine ends with "ipout02.plus.net", not "ipout01.plus.net".
Any ideas what's going on?
Cheers,
Duncan

Hi Chris, I've sent you a PM though I'd made a mistake, mine started bouncing back between around 13:00 and 17:00.

Re: Suddenly getting relay.pcl-ipout01.plus.net errors!

Hi
I also am having the same issue. I have two PC's one with Outlook 2007 as the e-mail client is working fine for sending out e-mails.
The other using Thunderbird ( latest version) is getting the same errors.
"5.1.0 - Unknown address error 550-'Verification failed for ..........
....
Reporting-MTA: dns; relay.ptn-ipout01.plus.net"
Both PC's and e-mail clients are using relay.plus.net as the outgoing SMTP server.
I have NOT made any configuration changes.
I am unclear why this is happening and to honest not sure what light this throws on the issue?
But when there is a difference like this I am sure it is flagging something, perhapps someone may have an idea?
I only noticed this around17:15 when I noticed about the IronPort change and decided to test!
While I am all for changes that reduce spam, it does appear that this change may be causing some issues? Or is it co-incidence?
Can we please have some higher visibility on this, I am happy to raise a ticket if that will help, but from an earlier posting it appears that CSC may be getting some calls about this.
I hope this helps and in anticipation of some updates soon  Wink

Our networks team are on this and a service status is on the way.

Excellent, because I've lost the ability to send emails from all three of my domain names now.
