This has happened before. Last time I posted about it on here and a moderator/engineer was able to correct it for me.
Usually get about 13Mbit, and today it's dropped to about 1Mbit.
My phone has also complained, saying "check phone line".

The last two days it's been stuck no faster than 1.7 Mbit. Ping is fine and so is upload.
IP profile seems fine, but like I say, Ookla and BT tests are slow.
I tried downloading a game this morning, and curiously it was reporting speeds of up to 1-2MB/sec, which is obviously faster than the tests suggest.

I'm having the same sort of problem. Until last week (about the 11th March) I was getting 5 meg download speeds, then they dropped off the scale. PlusNet support were on the ball when I eventually gave up with the various tests after listening to Human Flamin' League for 30 minutes on their 0845 number. They confirmed my suspicion that my router had gone west (I confirmed this by checking it with an old router I had left around).
I headed off to PC World and got a Netgear D6200. Works perfectly. I still have rubbish download speeds. See my screenshot below.
What gives?

Hi Griffin185,
I'm just taking a look at your line now - don't be alarmed if you notice a couple of drops.

I've completed a Reset on your line which should have resolved the issue. I've also updated your Fault Ticket too,
