Re: Sudden decrease in speed

Flangeniblic,
I'd strongly urge you to have a read of this:
http://community.plus.net/comms/2007/07/02/broadband-speed-faults-how-to-diagnose/
BT reported resync events of 1440Kbps at 04/08/2007 20:59:08 & the IP Profile was lifted to 3500Kbps at 08/08/2007 07:36:31.

Re: Sudden decrease in speed

Yes, I have noticed that my IP profile speed has been raised to 3500Kbps. However, the throughput speed still hasn't changed at all. Is that normal? Does that take a while to change too?
BT speed test result:
Test1 comprises of Best Effort Test:  -provides background information.
IP profile for your line is - 3500 kbps
    DSL connection rate: 448 kbps(UP-STREAM)  4288 kbps(DOWN-STREAM)
Actual IP throughput achieved during the test was - 908 kbps

Re: Sudden decrease in speed

Try reconnecting your router (or better still, power it off for 20 mins then power it back on again) and see if that adjusts your profile speed.

Re: Sudden decrease in speed

Hi,
Thanks Barry! I disconnected my router and the throughput speed has gone up to approx 3200Kbps. Problem solved! Thanks to everyone who replied!
