Stuck Profile?

I'd been wondering why my speed seemed to be rather slower than I'd expect lately, so last night I went into BT Speedtester.
It showed my profile as being only 2000kbps, when I would have expected (on past experience) to have had at least 4000kbps, if not higher.
The router info at that time (19:27 on Tuesday) was:
Connection speed: 5344/448kbps
Attenuation: 44/13.5dB
Noise Margin: 5/24dB
Thinkbroadband's speed meter gave me:
Down speed: 1767
Up speed: 374
I rebooted the router and got a higher download speed (6176kbps), but no significant difference in anything else.
I tried it again at about 22:50 with no real difference.
I switched the router off overnight (it's usually on 24/7) in the hope that a fresh connection at an off-peak time would help.
At 06:53 today (Weds) when I powered back up and tried BT Speedtester, it gave me a profile of 5000kbps, but BT Speedtester still gave throughput of only 1722kbps, and Thinkbroadband gave me similar figures.
Just now, I tried it again. The router stats are as follows:
Connection speed: 6240/448kbps
Attenuation: 45/13dB
Noise Margin: 2/22dB
BT Speedtester still shows the higher profile of 5000kbps, but +Net's still shows only 2000kbps, and my speeds haven't improved since last night.
Is +Net's reading of my profile stuck? If not, how long does it take for changes in the profile according to BT to be reflected in +Net's reading?
