Was getting intermittent bursts of noise causing the router to resync before this, now the connection is very stable with hardly any errors. If the profile is raised to 7150 as it usually is,  will this make the connection unstable again?  I think i might prefer a slower connection rather than a faster one that is unstable.
The plusnet profile is at 6 Mbs and has been for 2 weeks,  is this stuck as well?

Re: Stuck Profile ?

Hi there,
Our profile will only update when an update is received. Having run a test I can see there is a stuck profile issue (or at least a consistency check fail across the profiles on the BRAS and MSAN at the exchange) which will most likely prevent any updates from being sent, so that'll be what's going on.
We need to get a fault raised for you and push it on to get it fixed, I'll see what we can do for you.

Re: Stuck Profile ?

Right, one of our agents has just finished chatting to a supplier rep who we hope has fixed this for you - please let us know if that's not the case?

Re: Stuck Profile ?

Hi Matt
Sorry for the time taken to reply, been a bit busy today.  I had time to do a quick speed check this morning and the download speed was back at 6 Mbs so the profile must have been fixed. Having checked again, both the BT and the Plusnet profiles are still at 7150 but i have noticed a few resyncs in the router stats, i don't know if this is the line finding a a stable speed as this was happening before the profile got stuck.  It seems the line is prone to bursts of random noise causing errors and resyncs.
Thanks for your help and the very quick response to sort the problem.

Re: Stuck Profile ?

Hi there,
I suspect the drops were caused by the SNR reset that the agent who addressed this did on the line, and it was just retraining - certainly seems to have settled down now as your current connection has been ongoing for over 48 hours now without dropping.
Please let us know if it recurs or you see something else going wrong, but glad that's helped Smiley
