Streaming usage

I am trying to reduce the Streaming usage on my Broadband and have blocked the obvious sites at my router but still notice that over 50% of my usage is still Streaming.
Is it possible for me to determine what sites constitute my Streaming usage?

We aren't able to determine which sites you have been streaming.
Is it actual streaming that concerns you or advertisements?
You would need to identify which device that is streaming, you could then block access for this device to access the internet for certain periods of the day.
Or to try and prevent advertisements you could install an adware that would help detect and stop these.

There are a variety of things you can do to protect your usage, personally I use Mozilla Firefox ( http://www.mozilla.org/en-US ) with an add-on called NoScript ( http://noscript.net/ ); this lets you select which parts of a website you would like to load, very useful.
Along with this I use two pieces of software, the first is Networx ( http://www.softperfect.com/products/networx/ ). An extremely efficient bandwidth monitor, just adjust the settings to your specific allowance (quota) and it'll make keeping track of how much, when and who is using the net a hell of alot easier.
The second is Netlimiter ( http://www.netlimiter.com/download.php ) this allows you to limit EVERY connection your computer makes and essentially spot which processes might be using to much of your allowance.
Combining all of these has been extremely useful, they are easy to set up and free.

You can also control your extra spend at Manage my usage (login required) which you can set to £0 if you choose!
It's also worth putting some Flash blocking add-ons onto Firefox. I've got these Flash Killer 1.3, Flashblock 1.5.15.1, & Image and Flash Blocker 0.7.
Each have their own uses/benefits depending on what Flash content you may or may not want to view.
Some web sites such as various pages from itv.com have the annoying habit of loading and running flash streaming content as soon as you go  to the page including the home page from time to time,  xfactor is one of the persistent ones!
Edit: I did have Noscript as well, but had it disabled the greater part of the time as I found too many pages didn't load content I wanted and it was too irritating to keep adding settings.

I run NoScript and it can be a pain trying to get some sites to function as you want them. That said, I wouldn't be without it for preventing sites from running their myriad advertisement and tracking scripts, not to mention the security benefits of it blocking malicious scripts.

It can be a pain in the ass  I'm using Thunderbird for all my emails as NoScript makes hotmail/gmail generally unuseable for me.
