Problem solved,after trying everything in firefox like disabling any add ons & so on it was FF that was causing the problem freezing the frame now & again in youtube,i even went back to an older FF but no joy.
I installed chrome & made that my default browser & now there is not a flicker when watching youtube.

Turn off hardware acceleration in Firefox, it always causes problems for when when watching Youtube.
