Streaming agony

If your router is a TG582 go to Toolbox, Firewall where you should find Allow PING on your WAN interface

It is the TG585 v8 & there is nothing like that in there.

Anyone tell me how to sort this respond to pings in this router.

Open a command prompt, enter telnet 192.168.1.254 and login using the router's administration username (admin) and password (its serial number CP.... with all letters in capitals). Then run the CLI commands
service system ifadd name PING_RESPONDER group wan
saveall
exit
PING_RESPONDER must be in capital letters.

Are you able to log into the router's web interface in your browser? You must be if you know there is no 'allow ping' task on the Firewall settings page.
The username and password you need to log in using telnet are identical to those for logging in to the web interface.

Yes i have used the same log in details.

I am in now but i dont see anything that allows me to see this ping thing.

Instead of typing in respond to pings against the {admin}=> prompt type in (or copy/paste) the three commands I gave in reply #33, namely

In my graph it is showing activity now so i take it that,s it working
