Static red internet light

I've been having problems with my Plusnet router, only 2 months old. Most days I have to switch it on and off to re-set it! However the last couple of days the internet light has stayed permanently red BUT, I've now got the fastest and best connection I've ever had!
I'm loath to re-set the router just in case it goes dodgy again.
I've read another post relating to this glitch and it seems it's not a huge problem so I think I'll leave it as it is, on red. Does seem strange though.
Anyone else getting this?

That's really odd.
Please make sure you let us know if that happens again as we might have to replace that for you.

Mine (4th from PN Logo) is the same! It lights up "red" on making connection and remains like that throughout,
My connection is very good, so it has not worried me. It's been like that for quite a few days,perhaps even weeks.

I dis- and re- connected ~ 21.15 to 21.20 with no change in sync; initially red light was still on, but since has changed to green.
No one has to agree with my opinion, but in the time I have left a miracle would be nice.

My luck didn't last long..........4 days on red light and great broadband has now ceased! It went green again, all by itself and now I'm having to re-set the box 2 or 3 times a day!
Surely my router is dodgy?

What happens for you to have to reset your router?
If your router is at fault we'll happily replace it, just want to see if this is the case first.

Thanks for getting back.
I keep losing my internet connection continually! I've tried resetting my network (which sometimes works) but mostly have to reset my router. This is happening more and more and currently it's 2-3 times a day.
I never had this problem with BT.

Hi Soozy,
Sorry to hear that you're still having problems with this. The fact is that you should never need to restart your router in order to reconnect.
Before we can look at offering another replacement to you I just need to check if you've attempted a factory reset of the router as that's something we'd want to make sure you've tried first.
