Static IP address on LAN - dhcp ip reservation

Hi All.
I have a plusnet Technicolor TG582n router.
I would like to assign a static LAN IP address to my server. I can see it attached to one of the LAN ports but cant find a way to make the IP address static.
In an ideal world I would like the IP address to be assigned  to the MAC address of the machine LAN port.
Is any of this possible with this router?

Click on the attached device, then click configure. You'll have to tick Always use the same IP address  Grin
Or you can do it via the server? Windows or Linux  Roll_eyes

you won't be able to change IP via router. Only make it static  Sad

Ok How do we make it static on the router?

You talk about a tick box but I cant see that. Do I need to upgrade the firmware on the router? Iam currently running 8.C.M.0

Well that depends on what is required and can be "fiddled" through the router.  If for example you want to set the IP address at 192.168.1.64 - the first IP address in the DHCP pool - shut down all of your PCs and other connected devices, reboot the router.  Start up your server.  It should get allocated the firs address on the pool .64
Now log into the router, on the home page, scroll to the network section.  Click on the server's name.  This displays the network configuration details for the device.  Click configure in the top right corner, tick the Always use the same IP address:option and click apply.
Job done.

Yes it is
However I have had a look at other devices connected and I cant see the tick box there either so it not just this device.
Can anyone provide me with the screen shot showing the tick box?

Is this what you're looking for?
