SquirrelMail : Broken, but apparently not relevant to its usability.

This is likely to be related to the maintenance performed on Webmail this morning.
We've got a p1 raised, which you can see here, and a Service Status out regarding this.

Squirrelmail is the name of PlusNet's webmail provision, thus no - I don't see what you are saying.
Somebody had raised the fact that there were issues with Squirrelmail, and subsequently other people raised the same issue.
Why not discuss it in one place to avoid confusion?

Totally agree with you Gary. This topic is supposed to be about discussing the functionality of of SquirrelMail and should not be polluted by posts relating a specific instance of problems due to an overnight maintenance gone bad.

How will what has happen today be relevant to the usability of SquirrelMail in two weeks time?
I suggest you re-read Liam's initial post which started this topic - the posts this morning are clearly off-topic.

Agree with Midnight Caller. I was getting error messages when trying to reply adn clicking through from email alerts only to find threads had disappeared. The message saying they'd been merged had gone into this thread so I wasn't seeing it. Had no idea the missing topics would be found in a general discussion on webmail.

When it was raised as an issue, it wasn't known that PN had mucked it up again during maintenance, hence it could have just been an instance of a flaky solution - which I'd content would be relevant to anybody considering using it as a solution long term.
Just to save anybody moaning, I'll split the topic into its own now.
