Squirrel mail replacement?

There has been talk of a replacement for Squirrel mail and I know there are a lot of treads about the pros and cons of this.
This post is just to enquire about the current status of the replacement.  Some time ago Plusnet advised they were looking at a few candidates and I wonder were we are now with this?
Don't hijack this post!! This is only about a possible replacement and not a regurgitation of the arguments about Squirrel mail.

Hi Nick,
We're been doing a fairly long running trial on "Roundcube".
If you get in touch with the CSC, we should be able to add this to your default mailbox if you want a play..

Thanks for this. I am working away from a lot at the moment and Squirrel mail is a bit of a pain to use so I'll give it a try.
