Speedtest giving low figures

I have recently noticed my speedtest figures obtained from the tester on the PlusNet site have been lower than usual.
Today I have used some other sites to test my connection speed (Speedtest.net & Broadbandspeedchecker.co.uk). Both these sites report my download speed as around 11.75 Mb/s which is normal, but the PlusNet checker is still taking a long time to complete and then giving a figure far lower than this. Is there something wrong with the speed checker? Has anyone else noticed any problems with it?

We are currently seeing some ongoing issues with our Speedtester at the moment. I would advise to use an alternative whilst we work to get the issues with our Speedtester resolved. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.
