Speeds dropped to a quarter of normal

Hi, my normal d/load speeds are between 3Mbps & 4Mbps. Pretty much the best the line can support until FTTC arrives - fibre was originally promised for 2012 until BT looked at Google maps and realised the Firth of Clyde was in the way and they'd need subsea cables!
Over the last 3 days the speeds are just reaching 1 Mbps (WiFi and wired speed tests). No distortion on phone line and no chance of testing/changing router until a BT HUB 4 I bought from eBay arrives.  Can anyone advise what may possibly be wrong? Also, could PN run a test from their end? Thanks all.

Re: Speeds dropped to a quarter of normal

It looks like the profile on our end dropped down to around 1mbps but has since increased.
Your connection hasn't dropped yet so your not getting the new profile which is set at 4mbps.
If you log into your router and disconnect then reconnect I'm confident that'll sort it.
