Speed reduced following faults

We had a major local fault in February during the storms and the line (which was down) was given a temporary fix. Things were then back to normal for me.
Unfortunately last week BT repaired the broken line. They also somehow found the capacity to replace our next door neighbour's DACS box with a "spare" line.
The result here is that we are now connecting at 1984 instead of in excess of 2200. So we have dropped from 2000 to 1500.
Have they stolen some of our capacity? Or might there be  a new fault connected with the repair?
Information requested is attached.

Re: Speed reduced following faults

Hi mungodaisy,
I've taken a look at your line and can see that you're currently connected at 1984K which is pretty good given your line length. ADSL is rate adaptive so there's never any guarantee with regards to the speeds that you receive. I can't imagine that your neighbour having DACS removed will have contributed too much to your speeds.
I could reset your line which may push your speeds back up to around 2200, however, if the line is comfortable at the speeds it's at now, they will probably drop back down if I were to do a line reset.

Re: Speed reduced following faults

Thanks Chris,
If there is no downside, perhaps you could try a reset for me.
We were fairly stable at 2k for a year or more so it's a big sudden drop (and we've missed 1750 on the way down!)

Re: Speed reduced following faults

That's been sorted for you. It may take up to 4 hours for the speeds to increase.

Re: Speed reduced following faults

Thanks. It's been on 2400 for nearly an hour now.
I'll see in the morning how much it drops and let you know.

You might want to edit last screenshot as telephone number clearly shown.

Re: Speed reduced following faults

Chris,
thanks for your help. It's been stable at 2304k for a day and a half now, so I'm getting a 2M line speed again.
Fingers crossed....
