Re: Speed plummeted overnight: 21CN/IPSC work?

It's still not working for me either. I'm only getting around 250kbps download and the upload is erratic. I tried a reboot, but that didn't work. There's nothing wrong with my local exchange and according to BT, my line should be receiving upto 4000kbps download. Whatever it was that went wrong a few days ago that hit everyone's download rates hasn't been fixed for me Sad

Re: Speed plummeted overnight: 21CN/IPSC work?

after another reboot, my download speed seems a lot better.  Will see how it is in the morning.
Still no response to my ticket.
Can't believe how many problems Plusnet have had recently; usage stats, wrong billing, speed issues.  Where will it end????

If you want to be sure that Plusnet know there is a problem, you need to call them.

Re: Speed plummeted overnight: 21CN/IPSC work?

I originally switched to Plusnet because BT was so bad - some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced (including bare faced lying and subsequent denials). Unfortunately BT own Plusnet and I hope they will not drag them down to their appalling standards; 30 hours to respond to a ticket is not acceptable.
To be fair to the individuals I have dealt with at Plusnet they have always been friendly and helpful but yesterday neither person that I spoke to about my download speed seemed to be aware of the widespread nature of the problem caused by Plusnet themselves.

No response to ticket, but all seems well now. Been out all evening so don't know when normality returned. Hope it's still OK in the morning...  Wink

Spoke too soon ... d/l speed down to 300Kbps again.
BTW, How to you raise a ticket without going through all that "check your filter, try your master socket" stuff?

Re: Speed plummeted overnight: 21CN/IPSC work?

You would need to raise a non fault ticket - this may be the best one - reports a profiling problem
https://www.plus.net/wizard/?p=wizard&page=22451&wizard_id=38
or this one - reports a general speed problem

Well ... back to 1.8Mbps this morning.
I'll leave the ticket open this time.

Re: Speed plummeted overnight: 21CN/IPSC work?

Sorry guys.  I had a weekend off checking the forums this weekend and I wish I hadn't!
Turns out we still had some connectivity to the affected part of the network still up which meant some people ended up back on it.  It's not been properly disabled.
