For some reason my Ip profile has been dropped to 500kbps.
I watch a lot of on demand stuff bbc iplayer, 4OD etc but now its virtually impossible to watch.

I've had a look at your account. The speed profile has dropped in reaction to the connection dropping fairly frequently so we'll need to get to the bottom of that particular issue.
I can see a fault ticket is open but you've not answered all the questions, I'd advise going back to https://portal.plus.net/apps/kbdfaults to complete the requested info so we can look into that for you.

I did notice a BT van parked by the exchange and the locak junction box over the past few days. I don't normally loose connection frequently. Could whatever work they were carrying out have affected my connection?

i have completed the fault ticket however i was only able to complete 2 speed tests (work got in the way lol)

That looks a lot better, speed is set to 7150 on both ours and BTs side so you should be getting top speeds - hope that's the case now

Yep all seems to be sorted now
my nestdoor neigbour said there were hevy roadworks taking place right next to the BT juction cabnet not 100 yrds from my house at the weekend, I suspect the noise is what caused my problems
