I'm struggling to understand the speed of my service and hope someone can help me. I don't know if the speed that I'm achieving is what I should expect, or if there is a problem somewhere.
I bought and set up a new router last week, after my old one had failed. The speed (as measured by the site speedtest.net) had been generally slow up to that point. With the new router the speed still appears to me to be too slow, although it does seem to fluctuate quite a lot. At the same time as replacing the router, I replaced the filters on the 2 phone extensions that I have.
Here's some more info:
BT Speedtester result:
Download speed achieved during the test was - 2119 Kbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 600-7150 Kbps.
Additional Information:
Your DSL Connection Rate :6944 Kbps(DOWN-STREAM), 448 Kbps(UP-STREAM)
IP Profile for your line is - 5000 Kbps
I am pretty sure that the IP profile has been higher than this before.

Hi Keymer,
Are these speeds via wireless or wired. Have a look at our help page and if it still continues, raise a fault.
