Hi darcy,
To be honest I can't see your sync rate increasing on such a long line. As for the phones, as we discussed, in order to do this you would have to get your wiring checked out as I strongly suspect re-attaching your faceplate would only bring your sync rate crashing down again.

Joanne, my speed has dropped right back again so that boost today after plugging into the test socket was only temporary by the looks of it .I have had no word of when the BT engineer will be making an appointment yet. Any chance you can find out what is happening about this?
