Speed decrease again :(

36mb when I first got FTTC, now down to just 20mb  Sad Although I have been told by plusnet that my original estimated speed of 39 was very wrong - 33 was correct - I still don't see why it's now as low as 20.
I'd really like this fixed....along with the disconnections. It's sometimes fine for days then last night about 5 disconnects.
Download speedachieved during the test was - 20.87 Mbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speedsis 16 Mbps-21.68 Mbps .
Additional Information:
IP Profile for your line is - 21.68 Mbps

Upload speed achieved during the test was - 4.46Mbps
Additional Information:
Upstream Rate IP profile on your line is - 20 Mbps

Re: Speed decrease again :(

Sorry to hear about the issues guys,
@udk I've been running a few checks and can't see anything obvious so you'd be best raising a fault with us re that: http://faults.plus.net
@albinocory, I can see we recently looked at this for you from a faults perspective. I'd advise running another test at http://speedtest.btwholesale.com as suggested on the last fault ticket and raise that again by the faults link I've given udk above.

Re: Speed decrease again :(

tried the bt wholesale test and this is the Test Error I get: The Performance Tester is currently unable to run a speed test for your broadband connection. Please try again shortly, however if this problem persists, raise the issue with your service provider.

Re: Speed decrease again :(

I've just gone through the faults page
@albino, did you use it recently already? I think you need to wait a bit between using it

Re: Speed decrease again :(

@udk its been like that for a couple of days for me lol but did it this morning
@adam walker to be honrst its a waste of time going a faults ways as already had OR out 4 or 5 times out already they say its ok but 1 of them said all he can think off that its the copper wire that's degraded but they wont put a new one in the way its going  we may have to go back to asdl cos its more stable the fttc

Could I please get a profile change on plusnet side to match the BTW values?
I've just had openreach engineers out and they've replaced all the outside cabling and performed a DLM reset, so back up to what I started  Wink

Not to sound ungrateful, but I'm still getting the same speeds of ~20 Shocked
Is there something I need to do?
