Speed constantly below guaranteed minimum, can I cancel the service ?

Hi

As per above recently for the past few weeks my speed has constantly been below the minimum guaranteed speed.  Over the years Openreach have been out to look at issues on the line several times and basically there appears to be very little they can do.

The cable is DIG, its over 800m from the cabinet and has aluminium within the cable too with plenty of joints.  Over the years its gone from 30Mb when I first got it to now it stuggling to get 10Mb, its actually not much better than ADSL was.

There is no prospect of FTTP being available anytime soon so I am looking at alternative ways now that wont use the phone line and do away with it all together.

Can you advise how I go about actioning this please given I have 6 months left.

Many Thanks

@tikka69

If you report a fault and give Plusnet time to rectify it, about a month I think, then you can ask to leave without penalty if the speed is still below the minimum guaranteed speed

Have you reported this fault, is it under investigation? If not recently then start again by reporting the fault here. https://www.plus.net/help/report-a-problem/broadband/#broadband
