Speed as dropped for no reason.

For months I've been synced at around the 11000Kbps mark and happily downloading at 1.1Mb, then tonight the ADSL light on the router goes off and when it reconnects a few seconds later I'm synced at 8200Kbps. I go to check my current line speed here - https://portal.plus.net/my.html?action=data_transfer_speed - and find it's at 7Mb.
Where has my speed gone?  Why has it dropped when nothing has changed  How can I get it back again?

Re: Speed as dropped for no reason.

Give it a few hours, restart router and see what happens  Smiley

Re: Speed as dropped for no reason.

It seem they few disconnections you've had have caused your sync rate to decrease.

Do you know if you've had any interference/crackling on your phone line?

Re: Speed as dropped for no reason.

Phone line is fine, no noise on the line whatsoever.
