Speed Query

Hello Plusnet! Aye, that old chestnut you must be thinking 🙂
I'm still in my training period but a quick review of my account would be appreciated. Was estimated I would get 26mb down and 6mb up. On the first day I achieved 20mb down and 4mb up, would be fine with that to be honest.
As you will see from my earlier thread I've had a bit of a bumpy ride today and didn't really want to ask during the training period. The past two/three days I've had 15mb down and 2mb up.
I'm not expecting miracles as my exchange is MILES (well, 1.1m  :D)  away from me for some reason. The exchange is MRDEN and I'm currently connected to ptw-ag03. My sync speed is 37mb.
Have you got any tips as I've not done this for around 7 years? I've read about this 40/10 and 80/20 business but not sure if that would make a difference. Also, can you push any new router firmwares out to me please? I'm currently on 8.C.M.0
Ta,
MM

Re: Speed Query

Your distance to the exchange isn't relevant for fibre; it's the distance to your local geeen cabinet that's important.
EDIT: Just seen the release of fibre firmware for testing below

Re: Speed Query

I didn't expect that to make a difference - but you never know!
You'll have to wait to see what they come back with in response to the fault ticket.

Re: Speed Query

No worries jelv, but you are right in that it is best to try everything rather than miss an unexpected diagnostic and it be the solution!
I've updated my ticket with a link to here.
Cheers!
