Speed Issue on Ulimited Fibre

After waiting over 3 weeks to be connected to fibre I got connected on Tuesday 12th Feb to fibre.
But the speed is about half of what I expected. I have been on the fibre now for a couple of days now and would expect at least 60 mb if not more.
I have opened a ticket #65939881 which shows 3 readings I have taken for the speed tests and they average at about 30 mb.
Please can somebody look at this.

The IP Profile for my line is showing 73.44 when I run the BT Tests.

What about Current Line Speed here https://portal.plus.net/my.html?action=data_transfer_speed and are the tests wired or wireless

Very important to run speed tests via a WIRED connection.

That is your problem
Either raise a ticket asking for the Plusnet profile to be increased to the BT profile or phone in

Yeah I'd say you've been assigned the 40/10 profile rather than the 80/20 as many did a few weeks back.
All dealt with seamlessly by PN staff here. Couldn't ask for any more tbh.

I have phoned in to PlusNet and am now waiting for the profile change.
Not sure why it could not be done straight away.

It's not an instant process, I guess it has to be referred to BT or something.
Don't worry, it'll soon sort itself out, mine did. Patience!!!  Cheesy

Thanks for that DrDave.
I was told that it could take up to 10 days. Although I was under the impression that it was a profile change on PlusNets end. The BT profile is ok.

The profiles on both ours and BT's systems are correct so I'm actually going to advise raising a fault to overcome this problem, I don't believe waiting will help: http://faults.plus.net

Adam thanks for checking it out for me.
It looks like the speed has gone up.
I got an email from one of your guys telling me that he had changed the profile because it was wrong on your end.
I will keep an eye on the speed for the next couple of days to make sure it stays above the 60 mb I am now getting.
