Looks like you had some intermittent issues when you first connected. This will have brought your profile down with the BT systems. Your sync rate is really low at the moment. Please have a look here for some tips how to resolve this. We won't be able to raise a fault yet because you are still in your 10 day training period, but I would suggest carrying out all the checks in the previous link thoroughly.

i have tried all the steps, but could not find any problem.
Really having unusable internet speed, never experienced with any of my previous ISP's.
This is nightmare!
see below...having better upstreams speed than downstream explains the situation i am in...
thanks,
Maneesh

when you say you have tried all the steps, do you mean that you tried different configurations but didn't see an increase in speed?
If that's the case then you wouldn't see an increase in speed. It is the connection rate we need to see improve. Can you connect to directly your test socket making sure you're not using extension cables in between so I can do some more tests?

My training period is over and the speed was ok for 2 days in those 10 days. Those 2 days in BT speed test shown my IP profile was set to 4000kbps. Again it is back to sqaure from yesterday onwards; Now the BT speed test is showing my IP profile is set to 350kbps.
I am getting speeds worser than a dial up connection. Even after waiting for 10 days of the so called training period...

I have been looking into this for you and see that your line has been banded. I would need to do much further investigations to find out what the cause may be and this may take some time. I note that you are due to have FTTP installed on Friday so I wonder whether this may be worth pursuing in these circumstances.

The FTTP is just a trial, what happens once the trial is over? i dont want to get in to this situation once the trial is over.
i got this mail from plus net,
"
Now that your service has now been active for 14 days, we thought we'd let you know the speed as it stands today, by way of comparison.
Estimated line speed: 2.5Mbps
Current line speed: 0.35Mbps
"
See the current line speed. I am not able to use the internet most of the time with this speed (more often lesser speed) for the last 2 weeks.

Even once the trial ends you will still be able to stay on it as long as you want.
