Re: Sorry – please can I request another SNR reset on our line.

I've taken a look at the SNR Reset that has been initiated and it's definitely gone through, so hopefully you should see a difference shortly.

Re: Sorry – please can I request another SNR reset on our line.

Hi Chris /PN folk,
The SNR reset doesn't appear to have taken place at this end.
I've just checked the router stats - no re-sync has taken place here following the SNR reset. It's been up for 33.5 hours since last reconnected. Syncing at 12118kbps with a Moise Margin of 11.5dB still.
Any thoughts?

Yes, I can see that your SNR Target has been set to 12db, I'm not 100% sure if Chris has set it at this target when he did the reset. Once the line has come out of the stabilisation period I can put a reset through with a target of 6db for you?

Re: Sorry – please can I request another SNR reset on our line.

Oh, I didn't know that a target would be set - I just thought that it was go back to the beginning and stabalise! It had already settled at 12 prior to yesterday! Is this why no resync has actually taken place then?
If it can be set lower that is what I'm after as I believe that the line is nice and solid.
Will it be another 10 days before another reset can be carried out though?

Re: Sorry – please can I request another SNR reset on our line.

I can sort that out tomorrow as the stabilisation period ends at some point today. If you'd like I can put another through tomorrow with a target of 6db? That looks quite appropriate for your line.

No reply necessary but I just thought I'd note that the two reboots this afternoon were me - 1st my interface locked up and then the wireless disabled itself irrecoverably and needed a reboot to get it going. Grr.

Re: Sorry – please can I request another SNR reset on our line.

Good morning Chris / PN folk.
It’s Sunday! Or should that be Snrday!  Grin
Hopefully any stabalisation period has now finally ended. As mentioned yesterday, please can you put through another SNR request today with a target of 6db?
With many thanks for your help, support and patience. Hopefully we’re just about there now!
BTW, looking at another related post someone made last night, I should have copyrighted my opening post!  Wink

Re: Sorry – please can I request another SNR reset on our line.

Good morning! It is Snrday!
I have initiated the SNR Reset with a target of 6db for you. This should bring your sync level up back to normal. This can take around 4 hours to take effect. Let me know if there is anythign else I can do to help Smiley
P.S - I think we should be about there now Cheesy

Re: Sorry – please can I request another SNR reset on our line.

Hi! Just got back in and checked line - it went through an hour ago.
Download back to 16164kbps with Noise Margin of 6.0db! Does anything need doing with your line speed information as it's still showing 10.6Mb (BT profile currently up to 14.26 Mbps).
However...
The upstream has now been capped at 440kbps (NM 28.0db)
Can this be uncapped please and then we're home and dry!
Thanks for all your help!

Re: Sorry – please can I request another SNR reset on our line.

Hi,
I've changed the Speed Profile for you, you'll just need to restart your router for this to take effect.
By moving your target SNR down to 6db, it has uncovered a fairly large number of errors on the line which concerns me a little. We'll see how you go over the next 10 days anyway.
I can uncap your upload speeds but this can't be done until the training period has completed, but I'll make sure I do it for you. I hope that's not a problem Smiley

Re: Sorry – please can I request another SNR reset on our line.

Thanks for all your help this weekend and to the rest of the team previously.
I've no problem waiting for uncapping of uploads at all!
Regarding the errors, like you say we'll see what happens over the next ten days and go from there. Nothing will be fiddled with from this end so there should get a 'true' picture of the line at last!

Not a problem at all. That's what we are here for Smiley
Excellent, if there is anything else I can do, just let me know.
