Can someone explain what this means lol
Download speedachieved during the test was - 1797 Kbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 400-2000 Kbps.
Additional Information:
Your DSL Connection Rate :8128 Kbps(DOWN-STREAM), 448 Kbps(UP-STREAM)
IP Profile for your line is - 2000 Kbps    <---- why is this 2mb?
Thanks

Re: Some help please :)

i assume that you have just been connected to broadband and, if so, that is the explanation. The systems tend to start of with a default value and it can take a few days for it to be increased

Re: Some help please :)

In all probability you've had a few low sync events in quick succession and the DLM has lowered your IP profile in order to attempt to stabilise your line.  How long has your DSL been up for?

Re: Some help please :)

Thanks for the quick replys. My connection has been up for only 24 hours. Just had the phone line installed a week ago. So this IP profile limit should rise you think?
Thanks
  Glenn.

Re: Some help please :)

Ah, well in that case there's an initial 10-day training period in which your maximum stable line speed is determined. Provided your line is relatively error free you'll probably achieve the maximum possible profile for ADSL which is 7150

Re: Some help please :)

ADSL Link                      Downstream        Upstream
Connection Speed      8128 kbps            448 kbps
Line Attenuation            24 db                    13.5 db
Noise Margin                9 db                        28 db
Are these normal?
Thanks

Re: Some help please :)

It's probably because your "Plunet profile" hasn't caught up.  Expect max setting some time tomorrow

Re:Some help please :)

Hi womby,
I've just had a look at your account with the intention of moving you onto the 7150 profile, but it's already there. As you were only activated a couple of days ago it's probably going through the initial training period - I'd expect things to settle within the next few days.
