So in the box, there is a red and yellow cable..........

Out of curiosity are these cables normal wired Cat 6 cables? I want to swap them out for my own shorter cables so its tidier.
I assume its not a problem - but thought Id ask first!

They're probably straight Cat5e, the only way to be sure what cable type it is, is to read the text along the cable,  which usually identifies what it is.
For short lengths however, it is unlikely to make any significant difference.

OK Ta..... And the difference it makes is unsightly cables! (I am terrible for untidy cables - and have decided to really go for it this time.
Its not easy managing a 16 port switch, Fibre modem, plusnet router, sure signal, phone and phone port and all the electricals that go with it!  Cheesy
