Slower speeds in last few months.

Hello. I have been with Plusnet for around 5 years if im not mistaken now, and in that time my connection speed has always been 2mb-2.5mb. However in the last few months i have not been able to connect at anything higher than about 1700-1800kbps? nothing has changed on my end, i am still plugged into maser socket with shortest cable i have, have tried using new filters, and i have 2 separate routers which i have swapped to try and get the faster speed back. No luck though. I cant understand it. There is a second internet connection to this same property, (plusnet also) and that connection was 2mb+ yesterday when i tried it, so how come mine is not?
Internet has been very slow last few days after rebooting my router too many times and getting a dropped line IP. managed to connect at 1800kbps and have left it like that for last 3 days to rise the line IP again, but i simply am not getting the speed i was getting(before i signed a 2year contract)

Re: Slower speeds in last few months.

Hi there,
It looks like an SNR reset should resolve this for you. I've just submitted one now which should complete within the next 4 hours.
Let us know if there's any issues beyond that.

Re: Slower speeds in last few months.

just reset the router in the test socket. SNR has gone UP now and speed has gone even SLOWER after waiting for 3 days for line ip to increase..... tried 2 resets but only connecting at 1500kbps.

Re: Slower speeds in last few months.

If i cant get this sorted in the next couple of weeks I would like to talk about cancelling my contract with you on the grounds that i haven't been receiving the product i thought i was signing up for. I already pay more than most, for much much slower speeds. In any other industry that would not be allowed to happen.

Re: Slower speeds in last few months.

@davidwright6,
Sorry to hear you're having further issues with this. Diagnostics are showing that the attenuation for your line is quite high. Are you having any issues using the phone (i.e any noise audible on the line?).

Re: Slower speeds in last few months.

I never use a phone on this line, but have just plugged one in, and line sounds ok.

Re: Slower speeds in last few months.

If you just did something, my router just synced at 3mb so thanks, but i think the IP profile is still holding me back at 1.25-1.5mb

Re: Slower speeds in last few months.

The IP profile has now updated to 2500, and I've just kicked the profile on our side up to match it too. If you don't see an improvement in speeds shortly, try logging in to the router and disconnect/reconnect.
