Hi, after BT engineer visit and a few connection repairs on the 30th December he mentioned he'd never seen such good figures and that we should be getting around 9.5 down. These speeds were achieved for a while but they soon dropped and connection and speeds were terrible.
The SNR gradually ended up at 15.4 and stayed there for ages, disconnections kept on occurring. But a short while ago the line appeared to be better and then early one morning the router reset and the SNR went to 7.4 but the speed was around 5.5mb. I do believe that now the dryer weather is here the problems have diminished and still think if prolonged heavy downpours start again then then problems will happen once more.
I rebooted the router today at 12.30pm
Is there a chance that the line could be reset to allow the higher speeds once again. Thanks.

Hi rovingeyeuk,
I've just completed an SNR Reset on your line back to a target of 6db. Please allow up to 4 hours for al the speed profiles and line changes to take effect.

Chris, Thanks. I see the router stats have changed already. I'll keep an eye on it.

Hi Chris, the profiles are showing 10.2, router connection speed 11623 and SNR 6.1 but speed appears not to have changed and is still 5.4 this morning. Would a router reboot be in order. Thanks

Hi rovingeyeuk,
A reboot would probably do the trick. The Speed Profiles have all updated but it doesn't look as though they have taken effect yet, usually a drop of connection does the trick.

Chris, the reboot gave it a nudge and now it's 9.52 over wifi. Thanks for your help.
