Slow speeds

The last week my broadband speeds have dropped from 4.33mb download 0.40mb upload to best 2.89mb download 0.05 on average any reasons why this?  This happens every now and then normally a line reset sorts it out.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Den.

Re: Slow speeds

Hi Den,
The speed profile on our systems wasn't in-line with BT's, that means traffic management wouldn't have been working as expected and could have accounted for the drop in download speeds.
I've updated that for you so please let me know you're still experiencing the same issue.

Do I need to raise a ticket seems common practice to raise a tickets every couple/few months to sort out my ongoing speed issues?
Thanks

Re: Slow speeds

You appear to be on a 20CN exchange - could you post which it is please.
The IP Profile is set as described here: http://www.plus.net/support/broadband/speed_guide/broadband_terminology.shtml#ipProfile
Unfortunately the BT systems, while they can be very quick to push the IP Profile down in the event of a lower than normal sync speed, can take up to 5 days to put them back up.
