Slow speed today?

Anyone getting slow speeds today? I have been fine recently but getting 500kbps or less download rate  Normally get 5-6 Mbps

Line attenuation etc fine and connected at 8128kbps.  Connected to Telehouse North, Juniper 1

I am on PTN-AG1.  Whats your profile from the BT Tester, and from the PlusNet site?  Have you gone over your useage limits????

I am on "City Lifeline, Juniper 9" gateway. This gateway is sometimes known as pcl-ag02 and I just downloaded the Crysis Warhead Patch from Filefront at about 2700kbps effectively  full speed (stable rate 3000kbps) on BBYW Option1

I am currently connected to the "Telehouse North, Juniper 6" gateway. This gateway is sometimes known as thn-ag1.
my speed test is all over the place, needle up and down, nearly stopping, then giving 7900 with synch of 8128 and profile 7150

That sound very reminiscent of the issues a couple of months back, with the gold drops issues that were plaguing alot of us. My speedtests are a little jumpy but they settle quite quickly.  Odd thing is though, no gateway is showing any gold drop at all, and Plus have added 2 extra segments in the last week. Sounds a little odd.  OP hasnt yet posted back though, with BT profiles, and useage....

My speed is bobbins again, Telehouse North, LLU, thn-ag2, with restricted MTU at 1440

I tried rebooting but just made it  worse.

I have used 6GB of 15GB. Not had a chance to do the BT test as had to go to work.
I was getting the 'jumpy' needle like others here too.  Used Mybroadbandspeed and speedtest.net and same results.

Right, will someone from PN take a look as the BTspeedtest shows my configured download throughput as 500kbps which makes sense given my 465kbps download test:

Sounds like you have had a rogue sync event, thats dropped your profile. Whats the uptime on your router saying? may give a clue as to when this event happened. In any case if you are syncing normally again, will take 3 days for your profile to come back up

Uptime 25hrs. Normally leave this on all the time but rebooted yesterday after trying to resolve slowdown.
Ticket raised and have to go through faultchecker.

I know I have a good line but the results are all other the place, and who do you believe?
Test1 comprises of Best Effort Test:  -provides background information.
   Your DSL connection rate: 8128 kbps(DOWN-STREAM),  448 kbps(UP-STREAM)
   IP profile for your line is - 7150 kbps
   Actual IP throughput achieved during the test was - 2108 kbps

My Router shows sync of 8128kbps (which it has always been) but from the portal sync test:
Estimated line speed:
    Not recorded (service activated before we introduced estimates).
Current line speed:
    500

Sounds very much like you had a sync blip, and lowered your rate/profile.  PlusNet should be able to tell you when this happened, as they have logs of this kind of thing if memory serves.  Nothing anyone can do until the requisite 3 days have passed unfortunately.
